SVC '42

SVC '42 is the title of the short film I am going to make in the next two weeks. It is an amalgamation of various ideas I have been playing in my head. The interesting thing about this film is that it is going to be in Malay and herein comes a huge obstacle, as I do not speak the language.


Whatever it is, it is something I feel strongly for. I've been struggling to come up with something feasible for my thesis film and I hope this film can be a good breather. After all, when Wong Kar-wai did not know how to go ahead with Ashes, he made Chungking.

Looking back, the only decent short film I've made so far is The Soldier. The others being pretty much prententious and nonsensical.
